Let's talk about exfoliation and hydration.....

Exfoliation is needed to remove dry skin and new skin cells will appear.

    - Did you know that a wash cloth can even be an exfoliator? Problem with that is - you really don't want to be stretching the skin on your face; especially around the eyes. The skin around your eyes in the most delicate part of your body. Treat it kindly, as you will be thankful that you did in your more mature years.

    - Use a mild exfoliation product (with fine crystals) on your face, at least once a week. Some skin types can use more often.

    - Use a different body scrub on the rest of your body 2 - 3 times a week. Remember to exfoliate the tops of your hands.

    - Using a dry soft toothbrush, 3 times a week, brush your lips

    - Having a microdermabrasion treatment is a fast and inexpensive way to exfoliate your skin.

Sunscreens are critical when you exfoliate and sunscreens are needed even in the winter! You want to take care of that new baby soft skin..

Hydration is very important in the winter months. We get soooo dry! Moisturize moisturize moisturize...

    - It is VERY important that you use the right hydration products on your face specifically for your skin type.

    - Apply a small amount of baby oil to your body (not face) at the end of your shower.. (but be careful and don't slip in the shower!)

    - Always apply lotion to your body am and pm. Shea butters, almond butters, vitamin enriched creams are the best!

    - Use a lip balm that will hydrate your skin. Some of the most popular brands appear to be long-lasting but they just coat the lips. "Kiss my face" is a great moisturizing lip balm; there are others but I cannot list all of them. If you are going skiing and cannot stop to moisturize, wear one of those "coating" brands for the day.

    - Don't forget your feet, especially the heels!

Moisturizers for the face are very skin type specific. So if you need help with what type of moisturizers to use, contact a skin care specialist.

Gals - Exfoliation and hydration will make your makeup application look soft and radiant and your body will look and feel soft!

Call me at 303-905-0811 if you need to talk about your skin...

-Debbie-

Welcome

Hi !

I am Debbie Ritch Gronbeck. I have been a cosmetologist for many years. I specialize in many services for hair design and skin care therapy. If you haven't perused my website, please return to www.attheranchspa.com to take a look at my specialized services. I care very much that you are satisfied with your results. All of my clients like the private setting and most request multiple services in one visit. Kindof one stop shopping...

      Welcome to my blog!

I am the makeup artist & hairstylist for Kelly Weaver Photography www.kellyweaverphotography.com. Kelly's clients will receive discounts on skin and hair services for their photo shoot.

My makeup application style is natural with a flare of glamour (if you like). I concentrate on making your skin look soft, unblemished, and even-toned. I apply your colors according to your skin, hair, and eye color. However, if you have a special request on eyeshadow or lipstick color or particular style in applying eyeliner, I can apply them just the way you prefer. I love creating long eyelashes and making your eyes "pop". I have a fairly large display of my portfolio on my site, www.attheranchspa.com/portfolio, where my style ranges from very natural to glamour.

Kelly Weaver is an awesome photographer - the BEST in High School Senior portraits. She is located in Littleton, Colorado.

Please check back soon for new entries.
